Starting as a founding member of the SPANISH ASSOCIATION FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE S 20 SPANISH
With the name AEPPAS20 - SPANISH ASSOCIATION FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE CENTURY ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE 20 constitutes , in February 2011, a partnership under the Act 1/2002, of 22 March, and additional rules, with full legal capacity and capacity to act, lacking profit.
The existence of this association is to promote the national territory of Spain, protection, conservation and enhancement of the architectural and cultural heritage of the Century 20, understood as the monuments, sets, sites, unique architecture and urban landscapes or cultural, all Century 20, individuals whose characteristics, the environment of, social or cultural significance, special interest worthy of protection, preservation and promotion.

SPANISH ASSOCIATION FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE S 20 SPANISH
Perform all kinds of legal activities aimed at fulfilling its aims, among others the following:
- Collaboration with, institutions and public or private companies interested in the protection and conservation of the architectural and cultural heritage of the Century 20, both in the drafting of specific reports or information, creation or revision of catalogs and any other activity or related Technical Assistance to preserve site.
- The study and dissemination of the basic principles, technique and the policies that should prevail in safeguarding, conservation, protection and enhancement of the architectural and cultural heritage of the Century 20, relative to Madrid Document.
- Organization of exhibitions related to Century Architectural Heritage 20
- Editing and publication of books, monographs and documents, related to the diffusion, preservation, conservation and intervention in Century Architectural Heritage 20.
- Collaboration in the creation and development of documentation centers on conservation, protection and enhancement of the architectural and cultural heritage of the Century 20.
- Collaboration in the preparation of training programs with universities or schools, for the training of specialists in the conservation, protection and enhancement of the architectural and cultural heritage of the Century 20.
- Cooperation and collaboration with institutions, agencies and organizations, national or international, the public private pursue identical analogues Fine, especially with ICOMOS and UNESCO.
The evolution of AEPPAS20 has been notorious in this 2011, its first year of operation, with the development of projects related to the assessment provided, protection and intervention criteria in architectural and cultural heritage of the Century 20.

- Edition, English, French and Spanish, of “Madrid Document” on the criteria for intervention in the twentieth century heritage, discussed and approved at the plenary session in the city of Madrid as closure of the international conference.
- The Madrid Document, has aroused great interest in the recent XVII General Assembly of ICOMOS, held in Paris, where the Heritage International Scientific Committee of the Century 20, ISC20C-ICOMOS, proposed, the paper, follow the official procedure to become "doctrinal text" ICOMOS, something truly exceptional and for identifying promising, conservation and intervention in twentieth-century architectural heritage.
