Fashion Gala Spain. State Society Lisbon 98

In 1998, to mark the Day of Spain from Lisbon International Exhibition 98, Leticia Espinosa de los Monteros was commissioned to organize a grand exhibition of Spanish fashion that, with the name of "Spain looks to oceans”, was promoted by the flag of Spain to make known to the world the strong position of Spanish fashion.

Although the acts were started with the movement of all participants in the Talgo, for the occasion called "Train of Fashion", The gala culminated in an event in which the most prominent names in the world of Spanish fashion made available to the organization their creations, presented by allegorical, the various manifestations of Spanish culture: art, music, sport, cinema, theater, poetry bullfighting and culminating with a tribute in recognition of the figure and the legacy of Manuel Pertegaz.

Jesus del Pozo, Roberto Verino, Adolfo Dominguez, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Amaya Arzuaga, Andrés Sarda, Angela Arregui, Hannibal Laguna, Antonio Miro, Antonio Pernas, Armand Basi, CarmelaRosso, David Valls, Devout and Lomba, Ellio Berhayer, Francis Montesinos, Ricart Guilles, Guillermina Baeza, Javier Larrainzar, Joaquim Verdú, Lydia Delgado, Modesto Lomba, Nacho Ruiz, Narciso Rodriguez, New & Gonzalez, Paco Married, Paco Rabanne, Palace and Lemoniez, Pedro del Hierro, Pedro Morago, Peter Aedo, Purification Garcia , Roberto Turret, Tomas Garcia, Toton Comella, Lean, Vitoria Medem and Drink & Luccino, were participating designers.

Attendance and audience of 10.000 people, and the significant media coverage sought, made this journey in one of the most significant of all the activities taking place during the Lisbon Expo 98.
